Here it i i use to pay on time all the time but i started school and only work part time my lease for my apartment is up soon and i plan to move in july into a home due to rent being so costly my credit card is getting higher and higher i have no money to send them i just graduated so i will be a while before i get a new job what should i do its only 1 card the debt is like 1300, most of it is late fees and interest because my card limit was 700

Like a lot of people these days, I have some unpaid credit card debt. I have paid off cards and medical bills as I can for the last two years, but I have been unemployed and my new job is a fraction of the salary I prefabricated two years ago. One credit card company has filed suit but I can’t pay it right now. I have no assets in my name. If it goes to court, what is the worst that can happen?

I currently owe ,000 in student loans and I am having a hard time paying them off. The loans are private (sallie mae) and I am not elligible for consolidating them via federal loans since I am not a US citizen. I was not healthy to get a visa so I had to leave the US. I live in Europe now.

I comprehend that declaring bankruptcy would not cancel out the student loans, but I have read that bankruptcy could cancel out credit card debt. I have a good credit score (790), so given some time, with an even higher credit score, I might be healthy to transfer my loans to a few credit cards.

What are the laws regarding credit card debt and bankruptcy? What difference does it make that I am not a US citizen and do not live in the US?

I have a few delinquent credit card accounts, apiece with balances of around ,000. What is the lowest amount you think I can negotiate with apiece bank to settle the debt for? One of my credit card accounts is with a collection bureau also. Will a collection bureau usually take less than a bank?

My bank is wanting me to take the debt from my credit card and consolidate it with my auto loan ( both from the same bank). This sounds like its too good to be true.
Hopefully someone can give me some advice on this.
